Licensed and Certified Speech/Language Pathologist

Certified Dyslexia Treatment Specialist

Certified Barton Tutor at the Advanced Level

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Member

Teri has been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1997. She began her career at Avante Nursing Home in Inverness during her clinical fellowship year. After deciding children would be more rewarding to work with she began working for the Citrus County School System in 1998. There she worked in several schools including elementary, middle, high, CREST & Renaissance. After Debbie made her a fabulous offer to work with children one on one, where she would be much more effective, she quickly left the school system and joined Superior Therapy Services in 2002.  She also worked for approximatley one year at All Children's Hospital Sertoma Therapy Center. Teri is delighted to be back with Superior Therapy Services. She especially enjoys working with dyslexic children. She hopes to educate her community about dyslexia so that no child has to needlessly suffer the loss of self-esteem that comes with it when not treated appropriately.

Lara Dedmon M.S., CCC-SLP

Licensed and Certified Speech/Language Pathologist

Lara has been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1993. She began her career at working with the geriatric population in Rehabilitation Facilities in the Largo Florida area. She has worked as a clinician in Rehab. settings as well as in Assisted Living Facilities. Lara was the Rehab. Director for a few years in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Safety Harbor Florida. When she and her husband decided to begin to start a family, she decided that she needed to cut back on work and chose to step down from a management position. She and her husband moved from Largo to Brooksville to start their family.  They had twins, Jake and Emma, in 2003. Lara began working part time as a clinician in a Rehab. Facility in Brooksville. As her children grew she decided that she wanted to make a change and begin working with children instead of the geriatric population. She began working in a pediatric clinic in Crystal River in 2006.  Then, as luck would have it, a new opportunity with Superior Therapy Services opened up for her this June, 2008. "I am so excited to be able to continue the adventure of working with children AND be able to work within my own community.  It is truly a gift to be able to work with these wonderful children and to now be able to focus on working with dyslexic children is an added bonus!".
