     Sydney Mergler, B.A.-SLPA

My name is Sydney Mergler and I’m one of the new SLPA’s! I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science and Disorders. I intend to further my education and pursue a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with an emphasis on bilingual curriculum in hopes to do Bilingual therapy in Spanish and English. I am also currently working on my Behavior Technician certification. During my time at USF I had the opportunity to obtain an internship where I traveled to Belize. There I was able to work with children who have different speech deficits. It truly opened my eyes and showed me that I am on the right career path. I have also worked with children since I was 16 years old by volunteering, working at a children’s museum, substitute teaching, being a daycare teacher assistant and a babysitter.
